The director is know for his wildly creative animated movies, some of them I really love, but this time it's a little too much for my taste as the frenetic pace, the sudden jump between sub-stories make it hard to feel involved with what's going on. At the end, it's really about the absurd humor and visuals that keeps you watching but when the movie is over you barely remember what happened. It's just a hugely fun, wonderfully animated and colourful trip that is full of eccentric and charismatic characters, but that doesn't mean it hasn't also got a number of deep messages at its heart.
